Situated in the basement of the long-gone Village Gate—a legendary performance space that hosted everyone from Miles Davis to Jimi Hendrix—Le Poisson Rouge was opened in 2008 by a group of young music enthusiasts with ties to both the classical and indie-rock worlds. With a top-notch sound system and modular stage that can be set up for in-the-round performances, LPR sounds great whatever the genre is.

They have the most eclectic line of of music. Everything from classical, punk rock to the best 80s a& 90s shows in town.
Fun place, been there a couple times for the 90s night cover band on Friday. The first time I went was a little too packed for my taste, really struggled to get a drink or go to the bathroom there were that many people there. The second time was much better and had a lot more fun. The band was great, and played a lot of my favorite songs from the 90s. Would recommend to fans of 90s music in general.
Awesome, intimate music venue. I saw Peaches here and it was one of the best shows ever! They have a huge bar too that had great service.
Very nice place. Dedicated to the fusion of popular and art cultures in music, film, theater, dance, and fine art, the venue’s mission is to revive the symbiotic relationship between art and revelry; to establish a creative asylum for both artists and audiences.
Indi Romero from Joonbug, and it was the best move I made. I would highly recommend that you contact Indi Romero on facebook or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want an awesome night!
Nice music venue and multimedia art cabaret in Manhattan. We discovered this place with one of the greatest promoter i have ever met. We had everything we want for free. His name is Indi Romero, you can contact him on facebook.
