Vivian Girls, one of the bands responsible for ushering in the recent flood of garagey, girl-group-esque indie-rock outfits, have been quiet for a while, with members Katy Goodman and Cassie Ramone focusing on extracurricular projects La Sera and the Babies, respectively. So it's not too surprising to hear that the Girls are calling it quits. Come wave goodbye at these two final NYC appearances. The Mar 1 Death by Audio gig features support from two buzzy songsmiths—Katie Crutchfield (alias: Waxahatchee) and Beets frontman Juan Wauters—while the Mar 2 Baby's All Right bill includes the punky-fun likes of Potty Mouth and Shellshag.
