Globe-trotting Japanese composer, performer, improviser and scene-maker Otomo Yoshihide hosts a rare visit by two supremely significant countrymen known for their individual approaches: Akio Suzuki, who plays ancient instruments and personal inventions with the focus (and whimsy) of a Zen philosopher; and Gozo Yoshimasu, a poet known for his intensely rhythmic style of vocalizing. Noted experimentalists Marina Rosenfeld, Jason Lescalleet, Tamio Shiraishi and Cammisa Buerhaus join the featured artists for the Sept 28 installment.
