Washed Out + Memoryhouse

Make as many jokes about chillwave as you want, but you can't deny the sonic strengths of Ernest Greene's releases as Washed Out, especially the polished but breezy sound heard on last year's Sub Pop–issued Within and Without, produced by Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Christina Aguilera, Animal Collective). Opener Memoryhouse, who focuses on drowsy pop songs, builds on ethereal ambience.
