Wharton Tiers Ensemble + Steve Shiffman and the Land of No + Lycaon Pictus

Famed engineer Wharton Tiers (also a drummer) tops the bill with his eponymous instrumental crew, which combines prog ambition with punk muscle. Also on the bill is local singer-songwriter Steve Shiffman and his Land of No—who combine primitive garage rock, skewed antifolk and fuzzy, Sonic Youth–style art pop—and skewed yet danceable postpunk outfit Lycaon Pictus.
