The New Orleans soul singer Willie West released well-respected records in the ’60s and ’70s. Booked to play the Apollo four decades ago, he never made it onstage because Lee Dorsey extended his own set—on Nov 9, West returns to New York as part of the awesomely groovy Dig Deeper series.
