The latest in a string of choice La Sala bookings from the tasteful provocateurs of Avant Ghetto brings together two of the most intensely creative artists to come up through the noise ranks in recent years. Both Work/Death—Scott Reber's one-man project—and Mike Shiflet wring music of complex emotionality out of tortured, overdriven electronics, from which melodies arise like ghostly afterthoughts and disintegrate just as quickly.
