WU LYF + Willis Earl Beal

Manchester band WU LYF, which reps for its namesake Lucifer Youth Foundation, crashes into Brooklyn to present the torrential, anthemic outbursts heard on last year's Go Tell Fire to the Mountain. The album is a likably ramshackle collection of echoey shouts, majestically ringing guitars, and utter lack of choruses and verses—do check it out. Also on the bill is hyped singer-songwriter Willis Earl Beal, who hails from Chicago, maintains an enigmatic facade and produces compellingly odd blues-meets-R&B.
