Xiu Xiu and Deerhoof + Why? + Fang Island + Pictureplane

Williamsburg's beloved Pool Parties return with an admirably daring season opener, at which two of today's best art-punk bands—Xiu Xiu and Deerhoof—unite to pay tribute to one of yesteryear's best art-punk bands, the mighty Joy Division. (The collaborative set will feature Unknown Pleasures in its entirety.) Also on the bill are the nerd-rappish Why? and rock-operatic hardcore crew Fang Island.
