True New Yorkers, these kids are not only talented but also stylish, as evidenced by how they are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the group's Transient Glory commissioning program—with a world premiere of Hijaz by the guru of retuned harmonies Michael Harrison featuring cellist Maya Beiser and percussionist Payton MacDonald. The concert will also feature past commissions by John Corigliano, David DelTredici, Paquito D'Rivera, Gabriela Lena Frank, Meredith Monk and Michael Torke. WNYC's John Schaefer is the MC.
