Lower Manhattan has been quietly reinventing itself and the latest addition at 28 Liberty makes that shift hard to ignore. Meet Halo, a sprawling new event venue that’s ready to host your next full-blown production.

The space officially debuted with a blowout launch party that also served as an example of what Halo is capable of—think red carpet arrival, dramatic lighting, live performances and a cocktail hour that turned into a full-on dance floor by the end of the night.

At more than 30,000 square feet, Halo’s main room alone can hold up to 800 guests, while an adjoining concourse adds space for another 300 to 400. But the real flex is outside: the venue connects directly to Fosun Plaza, which can host up to 5,000 people. This is one of the few downtown places where a single event can transition from indoors to a massive open-air setting.

Design-wise, a sunken fountain installation anchors the space, serving as a built-in stage, while the layout is intentionally flexible, meaning it can transition from a corporate event to an immersive brand takeover to a late-night party with ease.

It also comes at a time when 28 Liberty is becoming more of a cultural campus than a traditional office tower. Between the steady stream of programming at Fosun Plaza and destinations like Manhatta upstairs, the property has been building a reputation as a go-to for everything from food events to fashion activations. For event planners and brands, the pitch is obvious—big capacity, built-in production capabilities and an easy location. But for everyone else, it’s another sign that downtown isn’t just about office towers and after-work drinks anymore.

If you’re looking for where the next big party might be, you might want to start here.
