After a 53-year wait, New Yorkers took to the streets in blue and orange to celebrate the Knicks' first NBA title since 1973.

Fifty-three years. That's how long New Yorkers waited to see the Knicks bring home another NBA championship, which is why celebrations across the city this past weekend were truly one-of-a-kind.

From ecstatic crowds pouring into the streets after the final buzzer to blue-and-orange-clad fans climbing lampposts, hugging strangers and turning entire neighborhoods into impromptu block parties, the city spent the weekend in full Knicks delirium. With a historic ticker-tape parade now set for June 18, the party is far from over.
