In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime, and the hungry New Yorkers, who investigate limited-edition sandwiches. These are their stories.

The Law & Order “Dun Dun Diner” is returning to Rockefeller Center this fall, taking over Bill’s Bar & Burger for two days of themed food, photo ops and merchandise. The pop-up will run Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10, from 11 am to 9 pm.

This year’s lineup includes an impressive list of culinary guests: Ess-a-Bagel, Katz’s Delicatessen, Magnolia Bakery and Serendipity3 will each contribute exclusive menu items, bringing bagels, deli staples and over-the-top desserts into the Law & Order universe. NBC has yet to reveal the full menu, so the pastrami's fate remains under investigation.

Fans will have two ways to visit. A $30 Booth Service Dining reservation includes one featured dish, dessert, branded merchandise and interactive elements inspired by the franchise. Free Grab & Go reservations will also be available, offering access to merchandise giveaways and a themed photo opportunity. (Unlike the timed dining experience, Grab & Go tickets allow entry at any time on the selected date.)

Both paid and free reservations will become available Friday, September 18, at noon ET through NBC’s Dun Dun Diner website. Tickets are first come, first served, so anyone eager to interrogate a bagel should act quickly.

Select dishes from the collaboration will also appear at participating partner restaurants on October 12 and 13, though NBC has not yet announced which items will travel beyond the pop-up.

The diner’s return coincides with the new seasons of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, premiering Thursday, October 8, on NBC and streaming the following day on Peacock. It also arrives during NBC’s centennial year.

Last year’s Dun Dun Diner also popped up at Rockefeller Center, but the 2026 edition has a new home, fresh interactive experiences and some serious local culinary backup. Given the franchise’s deep ties to the city, a New York diner feels like a natural setting, though we hope nobody winds up being questioned beneath its fluorescent lights.
