There are few New York summer traditions more reliable than spreading a blanket across Bryant Park's lawn, balancing a takeout container on your lap and watching a movie with hundreds of strangers. Now, the park's beloved movie series is back with a fresh lineup and this year's schedule is stacked with everything from cult comedies to Oscar winners.

Paramount+ Movie Nights at Bryant Park returns on July 13 and will run every Monday through September 14, once again making Midtown's most famous lawn a giant outdoor cinema. The free series kicks off with Wayne's World, the first of a season that leans heavily into crowd-pleasers and quotable classics that everyone loves.

The 2026 lineup includes Good Morning, Vietnam, The Truman Show, Bridget Jones's Diary, Catch Me If You Can, City of God, King Creole, No Country for Old Men, Galaxy Quest and Shakespeare in Love. Whether you're in the mood for Bridget Jones, Jim Carrey or Wayne Campbell, this year's schedule covers an impressive amount of cinematic ground.

According to Bryant Park Corporation president Dan Biederman, the goal was to create a lineup that feels both familiar and surprising.

"We put together a lineup that balances audience favorites, films people have been meaning to revisit, and titles they're excited to discover for the first time," Biederman said. "This year's program spans generations and brings together timeless classics, cult favorites, and critically acclaimed hits, creating a series that offers something for everyone while celebrating the shared experience of watching great films under the stars."

The series routinely draws thousands of New Yorkers, turning a patch of Midtown grass into one of the city's largest weekly gatherings. Lawn access begins at 5 pm, giving moviegoers plenty of time to claim a spot before screenings start at 8 pm.

Hester Street Fair will return to the Fountain Terrace from 4 pm to 8:30 pm with food vendors and a seasonal bar serving beer, wine and cocktails will once again operate beside the screen. Paramount+ will also bring back interactive activations, trivia, giveaways and photo opportunities throughout the season.

In a city packed with flashy summer events, Bryant Park's movie night is refreshingly simple: a great film, a blanket, a snack and a few hundred fellow New Yorkers together beneath the stars.
