With so many shows, events and concerts happening every week in NYC, deciding how to spend your free time is no small feat. No one knows that better than Time Out New York editors—who do you think rounds up all the best things to do in NYC anyway? During our research, we occasionally come across deals that are just too good to pass up. Here are five of the best we found this week, including two concerts from the groundbreaking Odd Future leader and two alternatives to the typical saccharine Valentine’s Day date ideas.

Tyler, the Creator the Theater at Madison Square Garden; Fri 23, Sat 24 at 7:30pm; tickets start at $47.
Grammy-nominated musician, fashion designer, festival creator and TV producer… No one title fits Tyler, the Creator. See the inventive artist perform live next week.

Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Pier 86; various dates and times; $30
It’s a boat! It’s a plane! It’s a space shuttle! This floating museum on the Hudson River is actually all three. Stop by to learn about our country’s military history.

Afternoon Date Terrarium-Making Workshop Twig Terrariums; Sat 17, Sat 24 at 3pm; $95 per couple
Instead of long-stemmed roses, gift your sweetheart this DIY terrarium-making workshop. You’ll create two miniature landscapes filled with moss and other hardy plants.

John Mulaney Radio City Music Hall; Fri 16–Mon 19 at various times; tickets start at $37.
The stand-up comedian and former Saturday Night Live writer brings his smart, snarky humor to NYC at the end of his national tour.

Museum of Sex 233 Fifth Ave; various dates and time; $20
Boost your knowledge of all things X-rated with a visit to this museum dedicated to human sexuality. Exhibits focus on everything from erotic art to antique sex toys to the sex lives of animals. Talk about sex ed!
