America has a huge party coming up (that’s the 4th of July, folks), and there are many ways one can celebrate Independence Day in NYC. From beach parties to rooftop bar bashes, the city will be buzzing with patriotic revery. But if there’s one thing most people stress over (aside from inevitable travel delays), it’s where to watch the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks.

To make your holiday strategy a bit easier, we’re happy to report that the 42nd annual firework show will once again take place along the East River. The stunning pyrotechnic affair is going to be the largest since Macy’s Millennial Celebration in 2000, as more than 75,000 shells and effects are going to be launched from seven barges positioned near midtown on the East River.

Big booms require a big voice, which must be why superstar and mellifluous angel Kelly Clarkson is performing a special rendition of “God Bless America” accompanied by the West Point Band Glee Club during the event. The show starts promptly at 9:25pm. Keep reading Time Out New York for recommendations on where to watch and how to get the perfect Instagram shot of those sparkling noisemakers.

It’s gonna be a blast!
