If you’ve been meaning to hit up an art museum in the city, today would be a great day to do it.

Why, you ask? Well, not only are we once again trapped in a cloudy, grey limbo world whence there is no escape and which would best be spent indoors away from the dull, lifeless haze that carries with it the implicit threat that summer may never come—but it’s also Art Museum Day.

Numerous museums across the city are once again participating in the ninth annual Association of Art Museum Directors event by offering special events and free admission all day today. This year’s theme is “Hyperconnected Museums” and seeks to highlight the important role museums play in serving as points of connectivity for communities both online and in person.

Check out the list below of museum’s offering free admission today to mark the special occasion. For a full list of events, head over to the official AAMD website.

American Folk Art Museum
Grey Art Gallery
Morgan Library and Museum (Free from 5pm-9pm)
Museum of Arts and Design (Pay-what-you-wish admission all day)
The Noguchi Museum
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (Two-for-one admission all day)
