Bedford Avenue is practically as busy as Times Square on the weekends, but for good reason. Once you step off the L train, you’re a ten minute walk from chic shopping, excellent eats and a supreme view of the Manhattan skyline and the Williamsburg Bridge. Saturdays welcome Smorgasburg at 90 Kent Avenue, where dozens of the city’s best restaurants sell bites from nachos to brisket to huge ice cream sandwiches. The Brooklyn Flea pops up on Sundays with plenty of vintage (overpriced) clothing, furniture and knick knacks to keep you occupied for hours. You can lounge in the sun at East River State Park before heading to the Brooklyn Brewery for a drink, and finally hitting up the Music Hall of Williamsburg or Brooklyn Bowl for a late night concert. Don’t forget to stop into OddFellows Ice Cream Co. for a sweet treat.
