Antica Pesa
A sister joint to the original Antica Pesa in Rome, this 65-seat Williamsburg restaurant reworks the native cuisine of the Italian capital using local New York produce. Brothers Francesco and Simone Panella—who own the Roman location—offer dishes like spaghetti cacio e pepe, roasted lamb and Italian ham served with hot, crispy mozzarella, accompanied by a list of all Italian wines. The room is cozily outfitted with a bookshelf-topped fireplace, a marble bar and dimly glowing, spear-shaped lamps.

Happy New Year foodies and what best way to ring it in than with a yummy Berry Martini from this delicious restaurant. Titos Vodka, Raspberry puree, lime, and simple syrup YUMMS!! Start off with the fried buffalo Mozzarella which comes with prosciutto. The Gamberi (shrimp) with anchovy sauce was epic I could have had like 10 of those. For the pasta dishes we had the Cacio e Pepe and the Schiaffoni all'Amatriciana were to die for. Like I want to have it over and over again. The freshness of the pasta with each sauce made my tummy sing. For dessert do yourself a favor and go for the Tiramisu and Creme brûlée which had caramelized figs on top. Both desserts were super light and rich, I am savoring them in my mouth as I type. This is definitely a restaurant which will see my face over and over again. Molto Bene Antica Pesa Molto Bene!!
