Time Out says
The fanciful aesthetics of this salon/gallery/café primes you for a beautifully presented but ultimately fussy meal in which appearances sometimes upstage execution. Lunch is a mostly organic selection of New American items like Asian Smoked Trout Salad, heavy on the greens, or a beef brisket sandwich, whose promises of pickled cabbage and cherry marmalade prove moot, buried as they are by the oversauced brisket. Instead, come for afternoon tea to sample delicacies from Richard Guier (former pastry chef at Ixta, Vox, Lot 61), such as scones with lemon curd and clotted cream; cucumber sandwiches and goat cheese tarts; and white and dark chocolate biscotti accompanied by one of the 90 teas. Brewed rarities include a black tea from the oldest organic garden in India and China’s White Peony picked two days of the year only.
