Owners Alexandra Degiorgio and Vito Polosa have carved a slender wine bar out of a former streetwear boutique, and the result is enchanting: Raindrop-crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling, olives are laid out single-file in porcelain vessels, and a long brick wall displays the Italian wines (including Gragnano, a rare sparkling red). The dishes are carefully conceived: braised duck salad is loaded with a generous amount of pancetta and a poached egg; tender roast veal shoulder comes with Gorgonzola gnocchi. Stop in Monday nights for a five-course tasting menu, which runs just $30.
