Italy native Marco Ornetti mans the pizza oven at this sister restaurant to Upper West Side mainstay Arte Cafe. The lofty 220-seat restaurant—decorated with paintings of '50s Italian celebrities—specializes in traditional Italian fare. Ornetti offers thin-crust pies like a classic Margherita and vegetarian-friendly Verdure (zucchini, eggplant and peppers). Also on the menu are house-made pastas—lasagna bolognese, linguine with clams—along with entrées such as chicken milanese and veal scaloppine. To drink: nearly 100 regional Italian wines (Girolamo Dorigo, Antinori), eight bottled beers (Moretti, Stella Artois) and Peroni on tap.

Knew of the Arte Cafe on 73rd & Columbus Ave.which has a good kitchen, so thought I'd give Arte Pasta a try yesterday. Was there with a friend for lunch & had a really nice experience. The value at $12.95 for a 3 course lunch is certainly there as well as the quality of the food. From my observation it still hasn't caught on so gave them some leeway in working out the kinks. They have a charming manager Nebiyu who was interested in our comments. The setting is wonderful but they need to warm the room up with some graphics etc & think table clothes will add a touch of elegance to this grand space.
We had lunch here. I had a Caesar salad , hamburger and fries. My son had phenomenal pesto pasta. The food was terrific, the decor was beautiful and the service was great. We will be back.
Just had dinner at Arte Pasta last night. My daughter and I shared a wonderful salad and we both enjoyed our entrees. Prices are extremely reasonable--nice service and lovely room. Will be happy to return for lunch and dinner very often.
What a beautiful restaurant! Having their delicious pizza in a ballroom setting made our evening very special. The mussels and the grilled octopus were great also . Lucky us! What a great addition to the neighborhood! We will be back!
We just "happened" upon this restaurant after a movie today….I know the Arte Restaurant on 73 Street and so we went in to try it…It's a beautiful and spacious place and the food was g rest!! We will definitely return and will also tell our friends about this place.
This restaurant is beautiful and spacious. If you choose you can eat outside with their heaters on. The pizza is amazing with a thin crust and the pasta is served to perfection. The staff is very accommodating . I was told this space was once a ballroom so one can see 'old NewYork'.I can see throwing a party in this space. This restaurant just opened! What a great addition to the neighborhood!!! I am also a fan of their other restaurants. I give it 5 stars!!! Great for a date as well as families.
obviously these reviews are a scam! I live around the corner from this place and it's still not open! how can it even be reviewed let alone have "Johnny" rave about the 'great food', 'comfortable seating' and 'good service' and 'great prices'? If TimeOut wants to be considered a source of RELIABLE information it wouldn't allow such nonsense. I now know not to ever believe anything I see in your mag. Nice Job!
A five star review for a never-opened restaurant which, as of 9/13/2013, two months after the review, still hasn't opened for business. Hmm, something wrong here. Where is ARTE PASTA? We miss W85th Street DEANS, the best pizza, great Italian food. ARTE PASTA ISN'T ARTE OR PASTA!
