Stopped into Banh Mi Zon just the other day when I was looking for a quick dinner before heading to a Nuyorican Poetry Slam. The place is really tiny and only accepts cash, but the service was friendly and it’s in a great East Village location. I ordered the Grilled Chopped Chicken Sandwich, the Grilled Pork Patties Sandwich, and a Green Papaya Salad to share. The portion sizes are enormous - you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck. The Salad was my favorite order - a refreshing dish on a hot summer evening. I’d like to try the Zon Sandwich next time as it contains banh mi super ingredient: pate.
