This attractive corner restaurant consists of one large room, open in the center, with tables aligned against banquettes along two walls. The arrangement is stroller-friendly for early family dinners and supportive of the bar scene that comes later (happy hour starts at 11pm). Staples are impressive and easy on the pocket (no panino, pasta or individual pizza is more than $9), and the execution is more ambitious than the prices imply. Artfully constructed entrées, such as a tuna steak on a mound of risotto, reveal a creative eye in the kitchen. Desserts lack verve, but everything else will keep Park Slope’s parents, drinkers and daters coming back for more.
