In a hood where tons of restaurants come and go when landlords jack up prices or gimmicks don't pay off, this down-home yet elegant Italian spot has endured. A good reason might be it's house-made pastas and fresh fish. Though they also serve tangy salads and quality desserts. Or perhaps its solid selection of wines. A recent renovation offers a lovely bar at the front too, for a predinner warm-up or after-dinner wind-down. But the back garden is the place to be on a balmy night. It's a surprisingly large space for such a neighborhood and a bit of a respite from the outside world.
