Brooklyn’s white-hot BBQ scene shows no sign of cooling off. From nearby gastropub Black Swan comes this sprawling 6,000-square-foot smokehouse in Bed-Stuy. Pit master Frank Davis—who ran upstate’s Cha Cha Hut BBQ—mans the Southern Pride smoker, firing up brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Dive into sandwich specials like the PBR (pork, bacon and house-made relish) and the Gobble Gobble Hey (turkey, bacon and pickled cabbage) at communal picnic tables, or sidle up to the horseshoe bar for a selection from the 200 bottles of whiskey, 50 American beers and frozen cocktails.

Quality BBQ, and this is coming from a Kansas City and St. Louis native. We liked the ribs the best. Try all of the sauces. Some look very different from the way they taste (they all tasted great!).  Mac and cheese was excellent!

One of the best things was that there was no wait, no long lines. The bar has an excellent selection. The music was heavy metal/rock. We went around 6:30 pm on a Friday night with a toddler and it was pretty kid friendly, high chairs and all, as long as you are okay with blaring music. The space is massive so there was plenty to explore and look at to keep our 3 year old occupied.
