Many of the ingredients at this trattoria are imported from food artisans in Italy and available to diners for purchase separately, including olive oil, radicchio and pastas. But the prepared foods are the real draw. Grilled figs wrapped in pancetta are an intoxicating sweet-and-salty combo that warrants a double order. Tiny, marble-size meatballs rolled in Parmesan and bread crumbs are fried to crisp perfection. Entrées like penne with sausage and broccoli rabe and sliced steak with a light salsa verde are expertly prepared. And there’s an extensive Italian wine list, with 125 selections by the bottle and around 20 by the quartino.
