Spicy food on the cheap is the lure at this drab-looking downtown joint. The appropriately named yum (salad) is a good starter: a mix of cilantro, cucumbers, chili peppers and tomatoes with beef, chicken, pork or shrimp. Pad thai’s in the house, but you may prefer one of the wonderful curries, like delightful chicken bobbing in strong green curry. Cool your taste buds with an iced coffee swirled with thick, sugary condensed milk.
