The owners of Lucky Cheng's, no strangers to fusing food and fantasy, revamp the former Marfa space with fantastical Blade Runner–style decor and an Asian-inspired menu of burgers and fries. Old computers and flatscreens playing Korean and Japanese cartoons adorn the gray-painted walls and ceiling in one room. The main dining room conjures a cyberpunk future, with a colorful graffiti mural decorating one side and iridescent papier-mâché chairs lining the other. Settle into one of the red-and-black vinyl booths for a burger—choices range from Thai chicken to bulgogi pork—served in a bento box with Japanese pickles, mango slaw and taro chips. At the bar, find creative cocktails featuring house-infused vodkas and Far East ingredients: The Ginger Kamikaze combines ginger-flavored vodka with triple sec and lime juice, while the Ume Punch mixes bourbon and muddled plum with a melange of fruit juices (pineapple, lemon, plum and cranberry).
