Restaurateur Steve Hanson (Blue Water Grill) expands his Meatpacking District holdings with this American eatery in the former Hog Pit space. Hanson retained its roadhouse look—neon signs and photos still clutter the walls. As the name suggests, burgers are the featured item (using LaFrieda beef). The menu also offers junk-food classics like bacon-wrapped hot dogs and Tater Tots.

Great and not expensive burgers in an area of the city where most food is overpriced! This low-key bar and burger joint seems almost out of place for the Meatpacking District, but that doesn't stop it from having awesome food. I got a burger, fries, and milkshake and everything was delicious. Not the best burger I've ever had, but definitely one of the best I've had in the city. It's a fun place to go when there's a sports game on and they have lots of different beers to enjoy with your burger too! I hear their fries with gravy and cheese are amazing, so try those if you go there.

Unfortunately I do not have any photos of my meal because by the time I got here after gazing at the Christmas lights I saw famished. We got the fried pepper/pickle appetizer along with the spinach and artichoke dip. I also got a milkshake and turkey burger. They put this spicy coleslaw on the burger which gave it some really delicious flavor (as turkey burgers sometimes can get a little bland). The milkshake was also fantastic and I had to much extra that it was enough for my friend and I.

Will definitely be going back here again.
