This local neighborhood café is tiny, with only a few stools and the back for eating in. If you can’t grab a seat, Forte Greene park is just nearby so takeaway is also a good option. The coffee is the best in this little strip on Dekalb St, with the flat white spot on in terms of the texture of the milk and the balance in the coffee. What keeps me coming back, though, is the ham and cheese croissant. It resembles a croque monsieur with béchamel sauce and the ham and cheese are top quality. The chocolate croissant also got the tick of approval from my French friend, and he’s usually very critical when it comes to his national cuisine!
