Time Out says

New York-style bagels made using Canadian techniques are landing in Williamsburg next month.

Black Seed Bagels, the popular artisan bagel shop that offers New York-style treats made with techniques born out of Montreal, is officially opening its first location in Williamsburg this February.

Led by James Beard-nominated executive chef and head baker Dianne Daoheung, the 800-square-foot space on Berry Street will feature counter seating where patrons will get to enjoy their wood-oven baked bagels.

In addition to traditional offerings, the shop is known for its delicious sandwiches—from egg-heavy items to ones boasting smoked salmon, plus classic BLTs and the country smokehouse, made with smoked ham, pimento cream cheese, lettuce and pickled green tomatoes.

This will be the chain's eighth New York location, with a ninth one opening in the Ace Hotel in downtown Brooklyn later this year.
