Pretheater out-of-towners pack the place and then pack in the better-than-usual diner fare. The Brooklyn salad is a filling, tangy toss of iceberg lettuce, Russian dressing, crumbled bacon and Gorgonzola; you’ll need a knife and fork for the pigs-in-a-blanket (there’s nothing bite-size about the huge sausage disks encased in flaky puff pastry); a juicy deluxe cheeseburger comes topped with piles of molten American cheese and crisp onions. The signature dessert is the Strawberry Blonde cheesecake, but the dense dark-chocolate pudding pie is the menu’s underrated star.
