Time Out says

If you're searching for proof that New Yorkers have been yearning for simpler times, look no further than this old-timey soda fountain. At the antique-filled apothecary—rehabbed by siblings Peter "Petey" Freeman and Gia Giasullo, with the help of reality TV show Construction Intervention—nostalgists can transport themselves to a Rockwellian universe, where sweethearts dip straws into a single egg cream and scrappy dogs lap up their master's milk shake drippings. Plus, there's an emphasis on seasonal, local ingredients—just like in the old days.

I love this place so much! The sodas are delicious and refreshing. While my boyfriend and I were deliberating over the menu, one of the waitresses came over with a huge sundae, and asked us if we wanted it because they made it as a mistake. It wasn't even what we intended to order, but it was amazing. I don't like coffee ice cream, but theirs was delicious. The sundae came with a biscuit which I thought would be way too heavy sitting under all that ice cream, but it was fluffy and light, and tasted heavenly soaked with ice cream. And it was free! But I'd no doubt come back again and pay for a sundae.

one of the biggest reasons i love this wonderful place is everyone, meaning.....all the "Soda Jerks" are so energetic and friendly ! the food is delish !! the ice cream fantastic, but mostly what i love is the children that come by all the time even when the parents are heading somewhere else ,they run to the farmacy !!! this reminds me of my childhood, growing up right up the block believe me i know this is" THE"place to be,

there's chalk to draw on the sidewalk and tag your name on the outside wall, that of course be cleaned easily, a bench to eat the ice cream, music of every era, lots of fun and laughter from almost everyone ! lets face it we all know an Oscar the Grouch here and there ,LOL.To be honest its a rear thing to see a sad face coming out of there !! all an all there is no place like Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain, they bring me back to wonderful memories and leave me in a child like mood every time !
