Time Out says

Lingerers are welcome at this Parisian-style café, whether they’re outside smoking and sipping lattes or inside gossiping over salmon tartare in the cool blue- and orange-painted space. The clientele is almost too hip for an activity as mundane as eating. Too bad for them. The menu is full of appealing bites, such as merguez with raisin-and-pine-nut couscous, plus affordable beer and wine.

Cafe Gitane is a neighborhood gem. You can smell the freshness of ingredients as you walk in. Juice press are made to order.

If you're around the area and wants a healthier option and a quick sit down meal then this place is for you. However, you should know that it's a tiny little place so seats can be very tight that you're almost right next to each other.

I went for Aioli Parmesan Grilled Bread and prosciutto with organic mixed greens, and cantaloupes. Also ordered a fresh cucumber juice on the side (recommended by my server). I am pleased and will definitely come back!
