Ravi DeRossi (Mayahuel) has expanded his East Village empire with a Cuban sandwich shop—part of a larger project at the same location that includes the rum-punch bar Cienfuegos, and a forthcoming Cuban restaurant. The short menu lists four sandwiches, such as a Cubano and the island’s version of a sloppy joe, stuffed with pulled pork. A small selection of coffees (try the salted café con leche), beers and homemade chips round out the offerings.
