Time Out says

At Cha-An BONBON, a dessert stand downstairs from East Village's Cha-An Teahouse, there's mochi like you've never seen before. Cha-An Teahouse was known for their elegant wagashi (Japanese sweets) and will also focus on mochi at BONBON. At their first take-out concept, BONBON specializes in dango, sweet dumplings related to mochi, served on a skewer (you might recognize dango as the tri-colored emoji under the keyboard's dessert section). With flavors like black sesame or yuzu, these dessert skewers are perfect for on-the-go. The 100 square-foot destination will also have soft serve and parfaits with mochi and red bean, as well as black sesame cookies.
