Launched in 1998 by designer Caito Maia, this Brazilian accessories brand expands to New York City with its first stand-alone store. Although the retail space is a small kiosk inside Grand Central Terminal, its fully stocked with the label’s signature edgy prescription specs ($68), shades ($39–$69) and watches ($49–$79) for both sexes, including special designer collaboration styles. Chilli Beans’s commitment to staying current means products are updated constantly; each week, ten new styles are added to the roster. Look for colorful square varieties ($58) and oversize cat-eyes ($68) from the house line. Traditionalists will like Chilli Beans's unisex collection of faded-lens aviators ($58) and tortoiseshell looks ($58).
