The Center Cinema 5 next door makes Chips a great half of a meal-and-movie combo. The enthusiastic proprietor is clearly proud of his business, and rightly so. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more tender chicken. Housed in a former bodega, Chips goes all directions with its decor: sombrero chandeliers, pictures from Mexico and—for a dash of the absurd—statues of ducks emerging sideways from the kitchen.
