Not even the manager is sure how many dishes are on the menu at this top-notch joint, where delightful Cantonese seafood is the specialty. A constant flow of Chinese families chooses from at least 200 possibilities, including such favorites as shark’s fin soup, steamed whole fish, squab and, of course, congee. Tender Dungeness crab is coated in flour and preserved-egg yolk before it’s sautéed. Order the green vegetable of the day sautéed with bean paste or garlic, and request the complimentary soup (called lai tong); you’ll be rewarded with warm chicken broth that has been simmered for days with medicinal Chinese herbs

This place emits the old school chinese aura and presents food that is affordable and group friendly as the serving sizes are big. I brought a group of friends recently and the wait was short as the staff were very friendly. The selection was huge but we ordered: 2 plates of the tiny small fishes with onions and black bean sauce which is a bargain for $10-11 snow pea leaf vegetables $17 a bit expensive but so is buying it myself 2 of the famous congee dishes, always good the tasty roasted garlic chicken dish which is always a must have the black bean razor clams the egg yolk stir fried crab which was so crunchy and tasty and the fried bread with condensed milk as a starter/sweet dish. The service was ok and better than most chinese restaurants. I would come back again.
