This colorful East Village outpost is the brainchild of graphic-designer-turned-dessert-maven David Yoo who takes his ice cream very seriously, churning out all-natural sweet cream-based parlor classics like Salted Caramel and Roasted Pistachio. But if you’re looking for high-gear decadence, go straight for their signature Peanut Butter Pie Milkshake—a heavenly blend of Mexican vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and an entire slice of peanut butter pie.

Thought that this place would be better than it was because there is always a line way out the door whenever I walk past. Went in with a friend who absolutely LOVED the place. I like sampling before forking up manhattan prices for food, so I tried two flavors, salted caramel and speculoos chocolate chip. Salted caramel was nice, salty and sweet. Being a big fan of speculoos, i thought i wouldve loved the speculoos chocolate chip, but idk if it was me but the textures were just too much crunch and didn't really work for me. Pretty much it's not that the flavors were bad or anything, just too limited and ok for the price point.

Davey's is a great place to stop for a quick taste of ice cream! I highly suggest trying a flavor or two because there are many unique flavors. I sampled the Nutella and the red velvet Oreo. I ended up getting a kid's scoop of Nutella. The size was perfect because it was a rich flavor. I will be back to try the Mexican Vanilla! The ice cream is a little pricey, but worth every scoop!

Let me start by saying Davey's ice cream is quite good. They have a good variety of classic and not-so-classic flavors. My gripe with them is that they are always out of flavors when I visit. It's not that big of a deal to me, but to my husband, who gets so excited over ice cream, it's a huge letdown. We've come to Davey's 2-3 times already where they've run out of flavors. one of the time, the girl helping us tried to direct us to another flavor that was actually also sold out. Make more ice cream Davey's! I promise my husband will eat it all for you.

The kind of-new location on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg gives Brooklynites a perfect alternative to Milk Bar and other “non-traditional” ice cream spots.  That said – there’s plenty of room for all kinds of ice cream here, and Davey’s is perfect for helping you relive your childhood memories of getting a giant, perfect scoop during the summer.  The speculoos flavor is addicting, and its other classic offerings of peppermint, vanilla, and chocolate are perfectly-made.

It's open! This bio should be updated ^^ Anyways Davey's is classic yet inventive. Their flavors are extremely well done without feeling pretentious like you don't know what you're eating since it's not legit ice cream. Love it here!!
