At this SoCal-inspired café, the lineup can change weekly. Expect colorful plates with equal parts Japanese, South American and Mediterranean influences like a bonito-chili–spiced black-rice bowl loaded with sweet potato and eggplant, and braised chicken in stick-to-your-ribs apricot couscous.

Dimes: an over-rated, instagram hot-spot with hour+ waits. I don't think anything here is worth waiting over an hour for and the space is pretty small with slow service.

Did I feel healthy after eating here, yea, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

I live up the block from this place and have been trying to get myself there in forever! For some reason I thought it was more of a cafe place for a quick meal, so I never thought to come here for dinner when I usually like to sit down, take my time, and have some wine with my meal. Last week I thought to drop in by myself and I was totally wrong - no cafe vibe here, the place is super nice, has a full bar, and is NOT cheap nor fast. What it is though, is DELICIOUS. Reminds me a lot of the Egg Shop.

For an appetizer I ordered the Cauliflower Mushroom Gratin - SO yummy, please get it. For my entree I had the chilli salmon which was perfectly cooked and came with charred kale, beets, and curry cauliflower. I still can't stop thinking about it - healthy, real ingredients without compromising creativity or taste. Their dessert menu looks UNBELIEVABLE and I had to try really hard not to order anything since I was pretty full.

Will definitely come back to try all of their menu

This is a restaurant, that if I could, I would enjoy my breakfast, lunch and dinner here. I love Dimes, and I love the inventive combinations with food, their dressings that know how to compliment a dish perfectly and the beautiful colors on the plate. I've been here more times than I can count, and have tried almost everything on the menu (which is not an easy task with their seasonally changing menu). You can't go wrong with one of their bowls, I wish I could advise on one thing to order but narrowing it down to my favorite dish is near impossible. Go to Dimes, you wont be disappointed.
