Time Out says

Got a kid going through a serious chicken-finger phase? At this buzzed-about takeout and delivery place, chicken (all free-range and organic) is the star—and rightly so. The tiny open kitchen churns out brined, double-battered, deep-fried chicken that’s moist inside and dark brown outside, cooked until it’s crisp. A lonely-looking rotisserie in back serves up a less fatty option for those who want it, and there’s always a veggie-of-the-day among the Southern-inspired sides. The homemade “badass” cookies are not to be missed.

I LOVE coming here. Being a newly graduated college student, I’m always looking for quality cheap eats, and this place is so it. A full meal isn’t much more than the price of a meal at a fast food joint, but the food is miles ahead. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the macaroni and cheese was so creamy and good. The fried cornbread can be a bit much at times because it’s really heavy on your chest, but I always enjoy at least a couple bites. It’s a shame I don’t live in Manhattan, because I always want to lay around rubbing my belly immediately after eating Dirty Bird.
