It’s no surprise to find homestyle fare with Pan-Asian flair here—one co-owner is executive chef Myung Ja Kwak, who, with design-guru daughter Jenny, opened Dok Suni’s and helped ignite a nouveau-Korean trend. In fact, Jenny’s sister Moon Sun is Do Hwa’s pastry chef. Classic dishes continue to please, whether or not you’ve cooked them yourself (some tables have built-in barbecues). Newer items include duk boki, sticky-rice cakes sautéed with vegetables in a red-pepper sauce. The movie-poster covers on the menus are a shout-out to the other co-owner, Quentin Tarantino.

Prime tender cuts of bbq you can grill yourself and hearty authentic stews with the best in house made kimchi!!! Also, their japchae is one of the best I've ever along with their deep fried chicken with the jalapeno drizzle. Oh, and the rice cakes in chili sauce with veggies are to die for!
They have really good cocktails, an intimate atmosphere that you can definitely take a date on or a group of friends/family!
Wait staff is super attentive and accommodating. Manager is cute too ;)
Go to Do Hwa for their Bi Bim Bap! They have a great menu selection from apps to entrees and tasty cocktails too. The ambiance is great catering to couples and larger parties alike. The staff is super friendly too.
Co-owned by Tarantino? No wonder this place is so impossibly hip. It's also just plain delicious. Order the chef's menu, a few excellent cocktails and hole up for the whole night.
