Uptowners have a neighborhood café-bar to call their own again with this reboot of a shuttered Yorkville shop (the name is short for downtown-uptown). Industrial trappings fill the 70-seat spot, including Edison-bulb chandeliers designed by Brooklyn’s Urban Chandy and communal high-top tables flanked by gray metal stools. During the day, sip Irving Farm coffee served in custom clay mugs; in the evening, caffeinated drinks give way to a boozier menu of seasonal cocktails and a dozen craft beers (Sixpoint, Dogfish Head). The menu of light bites features childhood favorites: grilled cheese sandwiches (one with cheddar, the other with Brie), tomato soup and make-your-own s’mores.

Awesome Local spot on the upper east side! It's a coffee shop during the day and a bar at night. They have trivia during the week too! You can also make your own s'mores!

Coffee shop by day, bar by night. Love the cozy atmosphere and there were plenty of places to sit and hang out with friends. Especially if you have a big group. Reasonably priced beers and food also makes it an affordable night out. I recommend the quiches if you're feeling a bit hungry!

Cozy little cafe...or is it a bar?  This is a great place for a glass of wine or beer.  Also, they have cheese fondue and S'MORES!  Seriously, you can make your own S'Mores at your table.  How cool is that?!  Bottles of wine are super affordable too.  Great date night for sure.  Always have a good deal on some of the discount sites too.

DTUT is really what the same stands for...an ultra-cool downtown spot located uptown. The decor is minimalist yet warm and inviting at the same time with exposed brick, dim, funky lighting, and some comfy leather couches for you to relax in. There's a huge selection of craft beer as well as wine, cocktails, tea, and coffee. If you are feeling like you need a snack, have no fear, they've got that covered too. You can chose from items such as baked goods, soups, sandwiches, fondue (both cheese and chocolate), and my all-time favorite, a make your own s'mores sharing platter.
