Time Out says

The kangaroo steaks are as thick as the waiters’ Aussie accents, but Eight Mile Creek is no mere showroom for Down Under kitsch. Bacon and Worcestershire sauce give the already tangy Tasmanian oysters an extra jolt. The crisp barramundi fillet is light and flavorful, as is the lemon-myrtle roasted chicken. The treats continue with desserts such as sticky date pudding and an intriguing plate of Aussie cheeses. Well-priced Australian wines like the easy-drinking Hill of Content are popular in both the cozy dining room and in the more casual Creek Lounge downstairs.
