Hidden under the J tracks, El Anzuelo Fino creates some of the supplest seafood in the city. One bite of ceviche mixto will reaffirm anyone’s love of fish. The mixto’s shrimp, calamari and white sea bass erupt with the flavors of a limejuice, onion, and hot pepper marinade. The firmness of the corvina sudada is enhanced by a radiant tomato broth. Yet the pollo a la brasa, bolstered by the fiery green-chili house crema, shows they do fowl as well as fish. Try the outrageously tender cabrito a la Norteña (coriander goat), accompanied by rice with delicious Peruvian lima beans simmered in pork fat that redefine arroz y frijoles.
