The saucy moniker suits this sexy bar, but it officially refers to the premium olive oils liberally poured over chef Joseph Fortunato’s dishes. Share an order of crisp, slender fries and a bowl of rich Gorgonzola fondue, then move on to the roasted artichoke with poached egg or mushroom-crusted Virgin Chicken with sweet-pea risotto. For dessert, just order another glass of wine and watch the beautiful people parading past you on the sidewalk.

This place is awesome - we split the virgin frittata and the banana french toast and it was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. We got a table outside easily got to enjoy the pretty views of the Village. Will definitely be back!


Pros: Decently priced, sidewalk seating, great date spot

Cons: Sometimes a bit of a wait & pricier than tartine which is a sort walk away 

Highlights: The only place I will tell someone to order the chicken. It is the best chicken I have ever had at a restaurant. I am a red meat girl and I would order the chicken over the steak here every single time. They let us drink out own bottle of wine for a $25 table corkage fee, but not entirely sure if they always allow that.
