Chef David Bouhadana is now doling out handies in the lobby of the Sanctuary Hotel, well, hand rolls that is. The new arm from his growing sushi empire, Handies by Bou, focuses on hand rolls at an eight-seat counter facing the the check-in desk for the hotel.
With seven options of fillings like yellowtail, toro or crab, the counter offers a short and simple menu for hungry visitors and locals alike looking for an uncomplicated snack. In addition, hand roll combos let you turn your experience into a quick meal with three, five and seven roll options.
The hand rolls themselves are lovely with fresh seafood, tender rice and thoughtful accoutrements. Just be aware that with so few seats, there may be a wait while other patrons enjoy a good ‘ol handie.
