This is a great after-dinner or before-you-walk-over-the-bridge gelato spot. The amount of flavors they have is crazy, regardless of what day you visit, you'll be able to try something new (and delicious).  I love the amaretto crunch and olive oil flavors, but their thai iced tea flavor is perfect during July.  Plus - it's located right on Houston, meaning it's super accessible.

Il laboratorio del gelato is very well known for it's handmade gelato. Located in the lower east side, it's the perfect dessert to follow the best pastrami sandwich from Katz's Deli. And if you're watching your figure, have no fear, these portions are small. And it'll cost ya to get more! Talk about incentive! The flavors rotate every so often and are very unique like chestnut honey and tarragon pink pepper. Ya gotta try it! But, the last time I went there they didn't like to give out many tasters. Plus the place is always so crowded I can understand why. But if you'd like a post sandwich little treat, head over for some gelato!
